Risk Management for
Amateur Investors
by Vernon K. Jacobs & N. Richard Fox
This is a comprehensive guide to asset protection, risk management and
tax strategies for investors. This is a 155 page book (8.5 x 11) that
discusses various methods of investing, asset allocation, portfolio and
asset diversification, legal tax avoidance, offshore investing, due
diligence and how to avoid being scamed by a hustler. This book is
included in our online libary of wealth protection research reports.
Freedom,
Asset Protection & You by William
L. Comer This is a classic 450+ page, 8.5 x 11 reference on asset
protection by a Certified ParaLegal who began doing research on trusts
and related topics for his law firm clients. His research included
extensive inquiries into various kinds of alleged tax avoidance trusts
(onshore and offshore), which resulted in the two chapters of his book
on "Defective Trusts." These two chapters alone are well worth the
price
of the book. But there's also an excellent and detailed discussion of
the law of fraudulent transfers, which is a critical issue in asset
protection and estate planning. Other chapters deal with avoiding
probate, the pitfalls of joint ownership, the money laundering laws and
how they affect us, corporations and partnerships, trusts, foundations,
family limited partnerships and a dozen excellent chapters on the need
for asset protection. The manual includes contributions by Adrian Day
on foreign banks, by Harry Schultz on the Permanent
Tourist (P.T.) theory, on offshore asset protection trusts by Jeffrey
Verdon and a chapter on "Private Inflation Hedges" by Edward Lee.
Copies are available for US$70 from Offshore Press, Inc. Shipping is
included for the USA.
