A Mission For FreedomBill Comer is dedicated to help his clients to find legal methods of income and estate tax avoidance and to discover ways to enhance their personal freedom. In 1972, Bill witnessed the loss of three close relative's estates in only 11 years and that motivated him to leave a successful 20 year engineering career to begin a second career as a financial-tax consultant, specializing in estate preservation. In his work as a Certified Professional Paralegal, he has specialized in doing legal research in trust and probate law, as well as the related tax laws. In the early 1980s, he was asked to help review the legal claims of various trust promoters who were claiming that their "family estate" trusts would avoid income and estate taxes. His extensive research on this subject is included in his book on asset protection (chapters 19 and 20) and is considered the most extensive expose in print of these defective trusts. In 1994, some of his clients were pressing him to confirm that they could save taxes with offshore corporations that were being promoted by various consultants. His research on this subject resulted in a 40 page research report that flatly refutes the unjustified claims of those who argue that U.S. citizens can save taxes by owning a foreign corporation. His report also describes the dozens of severe financial and felony penalties that can be used against people who make use of these devices in order to evade taxes. Anyone who is seriously thinking about trying to use a foreign corporation to save taxes can save themselves a lot of grief by reading this legal memorandum.
